Creative Movement

These classes are designed to introduce students to the art of dancing. These classes will help students develop rhythm, creativity, motor skills, body positions, and coordination. Students will be introduced to basic dance technique through fun yet educational learning.

 Ages 2-4

 Techniques: Ballet, Tap, and Jazz

 Class Time : 2 hours

Intro to Dance

These classes are designed to introduce students to the art of dancing. Students spend an additional hour in dance class and will be introduced to core fundamental ballet, tap, and jazz technique. These classes will also help student develop rhythm, creativity, motor skills and coordination.

 Ages 5-6

 Techniques: Ballet, Tap, and Jazz

 Class Time: 3 hours

Ballet

Students will learn classical ballet technique and terminology. Students will learn barre exercises, center floor and across the floor combinations. Focus will be placed on increasing strength, flexibility and control.

 Levels: Beginner, Intermediate

Class Time: 1 – 1.5 hours

Tap

Students will learn to develop rhythm, coordination, speed and sound through the use of tap shoes. Students will learn a variety of tap styles including Broadway and Hoofing

Levels: Beginner, Intermediate

Class Time: 1 hour

Jazz

Students will focus on developing body strength, flexibility, and coordination. Students will be exposed to various jazz styles such as Broadway, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Jazz Funk. Class curriculum is based on Ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movements.

Levels: Beginner, Intermediate

Class Time: 1 hour

Modern

Students will be exposed to a fusion class that evolves around the 5 pillars of Modern Dance. This class will have a foundation rooted in the teachings of Lester Horton and Martha Graham, while also incorporating the rhythmic disciplines of Katherine Dunham.

 Levels: I & II
Class Time: 1 hour

Hip Hop

Students enrolled in this class will experience a high energy hip hop fusion course that incorporates the latest styles of street dance and explores dance styles across time. Classes will encourage students to bring out their own personality and style to movements while learning to pick up and modify choreography.

Levels: I & II

Class Time: 1 hour

Pointe

Students enrolled in pointe class will work to achieve proper alignment, strengthen their ankles, arches and leg muscles in class while wearing their pointe shoes. Admission into this class is by audition only.
